Select reports, apply segments, and change date ranges in the app.
Download the Google Analytics app from Google Play or from iTunes to install it on your device. Touch to launch. In the first launch, you might need to grant the app permission to access your Analytics account data.
Navigate with gestures: Touch & swipe
Either touch or swipe your screen with your finger to navigate and select items within the app. There are no other navigation options.
Open different reporting views
Touch the dropdown in the navigation bar and select Account list to see your properties. If you have a lot of properties, swipe to scroll down to see the full list. Touch a property to see the list of reporting views. Touch to select and open a reporting view.
Understand the data displays
In each report, data is displayed on cards. Cards show you the most important metrics for each report category so you can get a high-level understanding of your performance at a glance.
On a small screen, you can see one card at a time. Multiple cards are visible at the same time on larger screens. Swipe to scroll down and see more cards. Touch a card to see details and reporting options. In some cases, touching a card opens a new report.
Navigate to different reports
Each time you launch the app, you automatically land in the Overview, which gives you a summary of each specific report. Touch a card in the Overview to navigate to that report.
From anyplace within the app, touch the Analytics icon in the navigation bar to see the category menu. This opens the drawer, or the navigational menu that shows you the available reporting categories. Touch a category name, like Audience or Acquisitions, to see the list of reports in that section. Touch a report name to open that specific report. Touch the category name to close that section. You can also swipe to close the entire category menu without making a selection.
Change the date range
From within a report, touch the date range to change the selection. When viewing metrics details of a specific card, you can also choose to narrow that view to see data from Today,Yesterday, Last Week, or Last Month. You can also touch Custom to set your own date range.
Apply segments
Touch the segment icon to apply a standard segment. You can’t create or apply custom segments in the app.
A segment remains applied in all your reports until you remove it. The name of any segment that’s currently applied appears in parentheses on each card, so you know which segment (if any) is active.
Segments are only available for Android devices versions v.x and higher, and are not available in every report.
